Salamanca: The perfect location

T&E standard high school programs are located in the beautiful and historic city of Salamanca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, right in the cradle of Spanish language and culture in the region of Castilla y León, Spain. The city of Salamanca houses one of the oldest universities in all of Europe, which was founded in 1218 and gives the city its very distinct, vibrant, young, and international atmosphere.

This pedestrian city allows visiting students to truly experience its history and quaintness on a daily basis by walking through its many cobblestoned streets, which are lined with historically significant monuments and enchanting gardens at every turn. It is one of the safest cities in Spain and combines the beauty of a medieval city with all of the comforts of the modern world, making it the perfect location for the younger study abroad participant who wants to get the most out of their study abroad experience. T&E is also able to provide study abroad experiences in other cities upon request.

Salamanca is considered one of the most spectacular Renaissance cities in Europe. Walking through the streets of this city will give the impression of strolling through time in a living museum of unimaginable historical wealth. Of its 160,000 population, the natives are said to speak the 'purest' Spanish in all of Spain, which contributes to the allure of this destination and makes it among the most popular for students of Spanish language and culture.
