T&E’s connection with the universities in Salamanca enable us to offer students the possibility of earning college credit in just two weeks of classes! This study abroad experience and possible college credit look great on a resume, and this cultural immersion is an enriching experience for any student. T&E’s programs combine classroom and experiential learning with immediate application of the lessons learned through everyday use of Spanish language skills with host families and in restaurants and shops.

This provides a great opportunity for students to increase their cultural sensitivities through firsthand experience in a foreign country and the chance to learn different customs and traditions through direct contact with them. This includes homestays with local families, excursions to sites of historical, cultural, and ecological interest, conversation sessions with Spanish students, program orientations, tastings of regional cuisine, and various other social and cultural activities such as lectures on art, history and culture, showing of famous films, dance lessons, sports, visits to city monuments, swimming, and horseback riding. All work to reinforce the material that the students learn through a broad range of classes across multiple academic disciplines.

T&E programs are modeled after our university programs and can therefore count towards university and/or college language and culture credits depending on the university or college the student will be attending and their policies with regard to study abroad credits (check with your university of choice).
