Scolarships

Do you think you do not have enough funds of your own to step into the great experience of going on a study abroad program? Well, T&E wants to make sure you have access to a number of resources that could help you accomplish your goal of studying abroad.

Below you will find the help you need among some unique scholarship opportunities accessible to T&E students. In order to be awarded with one of these scholarships the student needs to meet some specific requirements. Just follow the instructions below and get a chance to obtain that help you are looking for.

Remember that it is important to begin the process early in order to fully explore your options.

General Requirements are as follows:

  • Be accepted into a T&E study abroad program.
  • Meet the requirements for the scholarship to which you are applying.
  • Be currently enrolled at a US/Canadian college or university.
  • Have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, unless otherwise specified.
  • Complete an original essay of 450 - 600 words.
  • Only complete scholarship applications will be reviewed. In order to be considered you must submit the following materials together:
    • Original Essay.
    • Unofficial Transcript.
    • Letter of Recommendation.

Once all the students have sent us all the information we need, we will complete a final selection process. Then, we'll send you a letter confirming whether or not you are eligible for a any of T&E Scholarships.

Finally, if you are awarded a T&E Scholaship we will send you a Scholarship Approval letter. Then, from the day you receive your approval letter you will have seven days to cancel your agreement if you wish to do so.

Finacial Aid

If you are thinking about applying for financial aid you should know that you are required to be enrolled in a program that has been previously accepted by your home institution and would be eligible to receive government funding.

Requirements for financial aid:

  • Be enrolled in an eligible (Title IV) institution as a regular student seeking a degree or certificate (This is your home institution, not the overseas school/institution.)
  • Be a citizen of the United States with a valid Social Security number.
  • Have a high school diploma or a General Education Development (GED) certificate.
  • If you are a male, you must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Have a result of Eligible or Partially Eligible on question 35 (drug-related conviction) of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

To obtain government aid, students are required to complete the Federal Application for Student Aid. As long as the issuing institution pre-approves the credit to be earned abroad, federal aid can be used toward study abroad programs.
