Valladolid is located in the middle of the Castilian plain, 190 kilometers NW of Madrid, with easy access to the mountains and beaches of Asturias and Cantabria to the north. The city of Valladolid, famous for speaking the purest Spanish, was founded in the 11th century. Valladolid boasts several important cultural and artistic sites.

The city and province have over 500,000 inhabitants and they are well connected by air, thanks to the Villanubla airport, and by land: dual carriageways, motorways and railway, which connect Valladolid to the main cities in Spain and Europe.
