Admission
T&E wants to make sure that any student enrolling in our programs meets the minimum admission standards for the program, which means the student is prepared linguistically, academically and most importantly socially to be successful and obtain benefits from the program.
Getting into any of T&E programs is always done on a rolling basis by our staff. T&E reserves the right to reject an applicant for any reason. Also, T&E suggests students applying as early as possible to make sure they do get a spot on the program they want. However, it would be good that the student selects any another T&E program as a secound option.
There might be times when T&E receives too many applications, which will generate a waiting list of applicants based on the day the application is received in our offices. At the same time, students should know that incomplete applications will not be considered.
T&E will never discriminate on the basis of race, sex, religion, age, or disability.
Transfer Credit
At the time of application, T&E asks that all students receive academic approval from an advisor at their home institution. We advise students of the importance of meeting their institution’s internal requirements for studying abroad and of receiving pre-approval for the classes they plan to take while in a T&E program.
Upon the successful completion of a T&E program, we will issue an official transcript which lists all coursework. T&E will send the university transcript to the appropriate office at the student’s home institution in the U.S., along with a cover letter that translates the transcript and provides a suggested grade conversion scale.
Passport and Visa Requirements
T&E students have the responsibility of obtaining a valid passport. In addition, when applying for a visa, your passport should be valid for an additional six months from the last day of your program.
With regards to visas, because the application procedure can take up to 2 months, participants need to make sure they allow ample time for completion and processing of the visa application.
You can find more information concerning passport and visa applications at the following website: http://travel.state.gov/passport.
Starting the Program on time
It is mandatory for students to be present right from the first day of the program (day will be specified). Nevertheless, T&E might do consider a late student with good academic reasons.
Leaving the Program earlier
All students are required to remain during the whole academic program. Also, they must complete and hand in all academic work, take final exams and finish their final papers, all needed prior to departure.
Those students who decide to leave earlier to the end of the program, or who do not complete and hand in all mandatory academic work risks getting a failing grade.
Early departures would be accepted if it is based on a serious emergency involving the student him/herself, or any close family members.
Program Cancellation
T&E will call off any program due to lacking of enrollment since all programs are based on a minimum number of participants. If this situation would occur T&E assures that it will refund all payments received till the date.
